Configure sequencers, build your cost library, and create cost profiles — in the right order

My Lab has a dependency chain. Each step creates the data the next step needs. If you skip a step or do them out of order, the calculator either cannot run or silently produces incorrect numbers.

SEQUENCERS TAB

Add your sequencer and select which flow cell types you run

⚠ What breaks if you skip a step:

  • No sequencer added: Empty sequencer dropdown — cannot start a calculation.
  • Flow cell prices not updated: Sequencing cost silently calculates as £0 / $0. No error shown — the estimate is just wrong.
  • No cost profile created: Calculator blocked with a validation error on submission.
  • Wrong plate format in Technical Settings: All plate-based costs (Sample Prep, Library Prep) are off by a constant multiplier for every calculation.
